Online Image Generators are very interesting and time zapping. Checked out a few and added some examples to my blog like the license plate and the phone message they were fun! The more I explored the more fun and interesting adventures I took. I made comic strips and cards and photos of all types.
Think I need to do somethings else for a while.

I agree that the image generators are time zapping, but feel students will love them. Once they create a variety of images perhaps the flow of writing will be easier for them. I think it is worth a try so I support the use of image generators for all ages of students especially when tied to a writing assignment. I liked you license plate as I "lvfshn" also!!
Yes I think that kids will love them too and I think they could be very useful for writing as you say
